Autumn's Story

You know that feeling when you meet someone so sweet you instantly forget all your problems? That’s Autumn — or as we lovingly call her, Bambi. She’s a pint-sized ball of joy who trots through life like a baby deer on espresso. Her “run” is less of a sprint and more of a hop-skip-boing routine that’s guaranteed to make you laugh out loud.

She’s part Yorkie, part Schnauzer… or maybe part sunshine and pure love — we’re not totally sure. What we do know is that she has the biggest heart and the happiest tail you’ve ever met. She’s a certified cuddle expert, a professional attention hog, and a master of the “I love you” stare.

Autumn has been diagnosed with juvenile cataracts, which means her vision isn’t perfect — especially straight ahead — but don’t let that fool you. It does not slow her down one bit. She navigates her world confidently using her other senses, zips around with enthusiasm, finds her favorite people by smell and sound, and always manages to locate the coziest lap in the room.

She’s crate trained, working on potty training, and absolutely adores other dogs (extra bonus points if they let her be the little spoon). One visit with Autumn and — poof — you’re done for. She’ll melt your heart faster than butter on a hot skillet.

If you’re ready for laughter, snuggles, and a tiny deer impersonator with a heart of gold, Autumn is your girl.

We look forward to working with you. IDR+ is a network of foster homes; therefore, we do not have a location to visit. The first step in meeting our adoptable animals is the specific application at www.ILDobeRescue.com for a Doberman, Plus dog (non-Dobe), or cat.
