Autumn's Story

Autumn is just a baby herself... only about a year old, yet she's already endured more than most dogs ever should.
She came to us from a rural shelter partner after being confiscated from a truly terrible situation involving many dogs. There is still an ongoing investigation, and while we don't know exactly what she went through, it's clear it wasn't kindness.
When Autumn arrived, she had five puppies. Being so young and never knowing love or guidance, she didn't know how to be a mom. Tragically, some of her babies didn't survive. This is the heartbreaking reality of unplanned and irresponsible breeding-especially with dogs who are still puppies themselves. It's why spay and neuter matters so much.
Her remaining puppy is now safe in an amazing foster home, being bottle-fed and cared for around the clock
And Autumn... she's finally getting a chance to just be a dog.
She is the sweetest soul. She'll follow you like a shadow, gently wagging her tail nonstop, just wanting love. But when you reach for her, she sinks to the ground-unsure of what will happen next. It's clear she's still learning that hands can be kind.
Despite everything, she is nothing but love.
Great with other dogs (they really help her come out of her shell), wonderful with kids, and already knows how to use a dog door. She would truly thrive in just about any home with a little patience and a lot of love.
Autumn is heartworm negative and will be spayed once her milk dries up.
Now she just needs her person... or a foster who can help her continue to heal and learn what it means to feel safe
If you're interested in fostering or adopting Autumn, please apply on our website.
Let's give this sweet girl the life she's always deserved
