Aurora American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Mount Pleasant, MI

Meet Aurora, this once vibrant pup is terribly stressed in the shelter and has lost 13 lbs in one month since she arrived. She is only 1.5 years old and has already endured a series of unfortunate events. She was purchased from a breeder, had her own litter, and was then rehomed. Shortly after she was rehomed, her new "family" reported her as a stray and essentially abandoned her under false pretenses. She was then identified through Facebook and we learned this tragically sad series of events.

Despite our best efforts, Aurora has not adjusted to the shelter well and she is dropping weight quickly. The good news is that this can all be resolved with a loving, comfortable home. She adores people and enjoys going on walks with our volunteers. She has lived with cats and dogs previously but does not respond well to them in the shelter -- a pet-to-pet intro will be challenging until she decompresses.
