Hi! I’m Augusta! I’m a 1-and-a-half-year-old Pug/Pekingese mix weighing just about 6 pounds, and I have the gentlest, sweetest soul. When I first came to the rescue, I was a little timid and tended to hang back while my sibling took the lead. But once I settled into the routine and started feeling safe, my true personality began to shine.<br/><br/>Now, when I see my people coming, I light up—my tail starts wagging and I stand up at my kennel as if to say, “Hey! You’re here for me!” I absolutely adore attention and would thrive in a home where someone has the time to give me lots of love and one-on-one companionship.<br/><br/>I get along wonderfully with all other dogs, whether they’re small, medium, or large. I truly love everyone. While I enjoy canine company, my heart really leans toward being close to my person, and I bond deeply once I know I’m safe and loved.<br/><br/>I am fully vetted, including being spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.
