August's Story

August the Yorkie is ready for a FAB forever home!

If you're looking for an absolute sweetheart who is adventure-ready and up for anything, Auggie is your guy! He’ll jump into a purse or travel bag, ready to go on every adventure with you. He’s 4 years old.

He’s adorable, affectionate, and eager to please, preferring to be by your side for whatever you’re doing. Despite coming to us in rough condition, he’s been an angel through baths, grooming, and getting all of his vet care. At four years old, he has tons of life to live and love to give!

Because he’s a petite 5.6 lbs, August cannot go to a home with young children. He does however, get along great with older kids, all of his foster dog siblings, and is easygoing out in the world. He is crate trained, and has been doing beautifully with potty training (though we keep a belly band on for insurance).

He needs a family willing to continue his excellent work on potty training, as well as leash manners (we are very excited by squirrels!). But would be adaptable for many types of homes, especially one with a smaller canine buddy or someone who’s around most of the time. Fill out an app to give this boy the life he deserves!

August’s adoption fee is $400. Applications at www.midwestsmallbreedrescue.org
