August's Story

Let's take a look at August who may have been born in that warm last-of-summer month! August is an 8 month old merle colored Great Dane female who was being kept outside a lot of the time. She doesn’t bark or dig in the yard. She isn't sure what to make of car rides but maybe nobody ever offered to take her somewhere new and fun! August is good with other dogs and there were lots of dogs, in fact too many dogs, in her previous home and she and her sister Amethyst had to move on to greener pastures. August is reportedly not good with livestock and she was not exposed to cats or to children previously so her foster family will be further evaluating on those fronts. August has settled into a foster home very well and is learning all about the glories of being in a home where she gets more attention and the opportunity for a forever home with a BDHP approved adopter. She is catching on quickly and learning all the basics of training to prepare her for her new family. Could that person be you?
