Audrey's Story

Kane and Audrey were part of a litter of seven 6-week old puppies brought into an overburdened rural shelter. Their mother had been found nearby, struck by a car — leaving her babies orphaned, emaciated, and so cold they were barely hanging on. Despite the shelter's best efforts, all the puppies except Kane and Audrey passed away. These puppies are fighters. They've bounced back from fleas and worms of all kinds, as well as sarcoptic mange, and are ready to start their new lives.

A DNA test found that Kane and Adurey are mostly Australian shepherd and husky mixes. They are both very sweet and smart and love playing, running, and having fun with toys.

Kane is a little more timid than his sister. He's snuggly and just wants to crawl up inside you because the world is a little frightening. Audrey is braver and more outgoing. She crushes on every boy dog she meets and just wants to be close to them.

The pups are each looking for a new home. (They will not be adopted together.) They are being fostered in the St. Louis area. To apply: https://www.speakrescue.com/pre-adoption-form
