With his low-energy, laid-back personality, he’s happiest lounging beside his people, soaking up pets, and quietly keeping you company. He loves affection and will politely (or not-so-politely ;) use his giant paw to let you know when it’s time for more pets. Atreus enjoys walks and gets excited to head out, but he’s overall an easygoing guy who doesn’t need constant activity.<br/><br/>Atreus does well with other large resident dogs and enjoys their company, though he’s still learning that barking isn’t the best way to initiate play. He has had a negative experience with a small dog in the past, so he can be fearful around small dogs and would do best in a home without them. He’s curious about cats and seems interested in friendship, but his current feline housemate hasn’t warmed up yet — especially when he tries to bark to invite play. With the right cat and proper introductions, this may improve over time. All of our animals are fixed, microchipped, started on age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, and on a flea/tick and heart worm preventative prior to adoption. Please note that all of our animals are in foster homes, and you must have an approved application to meet any of them unless at a scheduled meet and greet event.
