? SENIOR FOSTER ALERT: ATLAS

SWEET 11-year old boy was adopted from 2nd Chance Shelter 6 years ago… and he was returned 1 year ago…why, you ask…? His owner was going blind and could no longer care for him. After his owner returned him, he lived at the shelter for over a year. Could you imagine…being alone, and confused why he had to go back to the shelter…waiting for his owner to return.

His luck turned around when my kind-hearted friend, who luckily has a soft spot for seniors, decided to foster him…and she will continue to foster old souls once Atlas gets adopted.

Here is his report card from his foster mom:

Atlas is an older wonderful gentleman who is gentle and loving and just needs a quiet home where he can lounge. He is great with all animals, and loves attention and walks and being outside. He is mostly housebroken; he has a little arthritis in his spine so he doesn't always know when he has to poop, so he will sometimes randomly poop (usually in his sleep) , but if he has enough outside time it isn't so much of an issue. He deserves a second chance after living a year in a rural shelter. He is a great, mellow and loving companion. Oh...he is a bigger guy at 80 pounds but he is great in the house. Very respectful and likes to be by your side, or quietly napping in his bed.

He’s adoptable thru Troopers Treasures, and his adoption fee has been sponsored. He’s neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations. Current on heartworm prevention/flea/tick/intestinal parasite prevention. Microchipped.
