Athena's Story
Meet Athena,

Athena wants to be a spoiled princess who will give you an over abundance of love if you show her love to!

Since entering foster care she's becoming more playful. She now will just now zoom around and play with the other dogs. When she 1st went into foster care she was very reserved and unsure. Once she got familiar she opened up into a lover and huge cuddler. She LOVES cuddling.

She's getting better on the leash. She is learning exposure to things on her walks around the block. She loves to drink water. We limit water supply in the evenings to limit accidents. She likes kids, is curious of them and still learning. She enjoys playing with her toys before she winds down. She likes to play nibble. She will need someone to continue her training and correcting her with positive play and replacing the nibbles with toys or treats. She likes to jump when she gets excited and we have been working on keeping her at ground level. We find it best to let her get her zoomies out outside and greet her with affection upon coming back inside. She has an ornery personality and likes to give wide eyes when she is in thought. She is super comical and cute. She reminds us of one of the Directors Personal dogs. She is confident in herself. Although she gets very excited in her kennel when she is ready to exit the kennel, you would think with her excitement she would be a bull coming out of a pen, but she walks out all casual and slow. When it is time for her to rest she just lounges with you or on the floor to wind down. If she gets scared she will shake out of fear or uncomfort. She did this at 1st with children. Now that we worked with her she is open to children enjoying giving kisses to them, accepting pets, hugs and kisses to. She is learning to get in and out of the car without being afraid. She would do best with an older child old enough to help be consistent with commands for her to learn to become the best version of herself and stay down. (she does okay with my 3 year old and we supervise).

She is looking for someone to give her all the cuddles she wants. Come check out this cutie by scheduling your date with her today!

- Knows sit, working on staying down
- Potty Trained inside
- Crate Trained
- Good with kids
- Good with other dogs - all sizes, does like male dogs more than female - the crew of pups we had from her litter were all boys accept her, so with us she grew up with a bunch of boys and likes being alpha female.
- Good with cats [she does bark at them in her crate]

Adoption Includes:
- Spay
- Microchip
- Rabies vaccine
- Distemper vaccines
- Deworming
- Flea medication current

STORY:
Athena was part of a litter of 9 total puppies.

Additional photos of Adoptable Dogs Listed by name:

Step 1: APPLY
Application:
https://forms.gle/xX48PJtLTnoPCt717

Step 2:
Schedule a greet:
Once the application is filled out contact us.
724-393-0348 or NPLBrescue@gmail.com with your name, phone number, email and zip code to schedule a meet and greet or answer further questions.
