Meet Athena! This beautiful Terrier mix has already shown just how resilient a dog can be. Athena was found abandoned locally in heartbreaking condition-severely underweight, with overgrown nails, and unsure of the world around her. Since coming into our care, she's been surrounded with love, nutritious meals, and plenty of patience. While she's still underweight and continuing her journey back to full health, she's already begun to come out of her shell and is slowly learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all.<br/><br/>Athena still has a road ahead of her, both physically and emotionally. Reaching a healthy weight takes time, and so does rebuilding trust. She'll thrive with a patient family that understands she'll need time to settle in and gain confidence at her own pace.
