Aster's Story

Aster is a delightful little lady who had a really rough start in life with a days-long stay in the ICU at Iowa State University shortly after leaving the shelter and arriving at her foster home.

Aster has a congenital (from birth) condition known as Hypoplastic Trachea which means that she will need some special care throughout her life, but is sure does not slow her down!!

She is sweet and affectionate, loves to sit in your lap, and is very playful. She loves to chew on puppy toys and chase balls. She is working on puppy manners, crate and potty training currently, as well as all of the fun puppy socialization like seeing, hearing, smelling and touching new things and making new friends. She can be a bit shy at first with new people but warms up quickly and enjoys spending time with humans and other animals alike. She will likely be 75-80 lbs full grown.

Aster is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and is available for foster-to-adopt!
