Aspen's Story
Meet Aspen!

Aspen is a 23-year-old boy weighing 53 lbs who has already overcome so much in his young life. Rescued from the infamous Dead Dog Beach in Puerto Rico and now a heartworm survivor, Aspen is ready to find the forever family he deserves.

Aspen is an incredibly smart dog who thrives when given structure, guidance, and time to build trust. Once you earn his confidence, you'll discover a loyal, affectionate cuddle buddy who loves being close to his person.

Because Aspen can be selective about who he trusts and benefits from clear boundaries and consistency, he is looking for an experienced adopter who understands dog behavior and is committed to helping him continue to grow and succeed.

Aspen is currently in Puerto Rico and will be flying to New Jersey on June 27th. He would love nothing more than to meet his forever family at the airport and start the next chapter of his life by their side.

To Adopt:
Fill out an application at thesatoproject.org/applicationform.
Questions?

Email us at adoption@thesatoproject.org

About The Sato Project:

The Sato Project has been working hard since 2011 to rescue and rehabilitate the stray dogs of Puerto Rico, known locally as satos.
