Asher's Story
Meet Asher!

At 6 years old and 58 pounds, Asher is beginning the very best chapter of his life. After spending his early years as a breeder dog, he's settling into retirement and discovering just how wonderful it is to just relax and just be a dog. With so much life and love ahead of him, Asher is ready to find the family he's always deserved.

Asher is a big, goofy, gentle guy with soulful eyes that seem to look right into your heart. He adores people and has yet to meet a stranger. While he loves attention and affection, he's more of a "let me hang out by your side" kind of dog than a Velcro cuddle bug.

In his foster home, Asher is doing well with the other dogs. He's happy to share his space most of the time, but if he's enjoying a favorite chew toy, he'd prefer to have it all to himself and will let the other dogs know he'd like a little space.

He's also proving to be an easy houseguest. Asher is non-destructive in the home and is about 90% house trained. He has marked a few times, which isn't uncommon for recently neutered adult dogs, and we expect that behavior to fade now that he's been neutered.

Like many of our rescue dogs, Asher is working on crate training. He's learning that the crate is a safe, comfortable place, and with patience and consistency, he's making steady progress.

Asher loves stretching his legs, whether he's happily trotting around a fenced yard or heading out for a walk. Walks might just be one of his favorite parts of the day! He's the kind of companion who's content to join you on everyday adventures and then relax nearby while you unwind at home.

If you're looking for a sweet, handsome, easygoing dog with a goofy personality, Asher may be your perfect match.

NOTE: GA adoptions within two hours of metro Atlanta only
