Not long ago, I was found scared, hungry, and covered in fleas-but some kind people gave me a second chance, and I've been learning ever since what it means to feel safe and loved <br/><br/>Now I'm starting to show my true personality. I'm affectionate, calm, and I really enjoy being close to my people. I love cuddling on the couch, going for relaxed walks, and simply being included in whatever my humans are doing. I also enjoy exploring the yard with my dog friends and taking in all the new smells life has to offer.<br/><br/>I'm crate-free in my foster home (I have my own cozy space instead), and I've been doing really well with house training and behavior-I'm not destructive and I've settled into home life beautifully. I'm also leash trained and enjoy walks, even though I'm still polishing up my skills and learning more commands.<br/><br/>One important thing about me is that I'm currently heartworm positive, but I'm already on treatment and getting stronger every day I'm on my way to feeling even better soon.<br/><br/>I do well with other dogs and enjoy their company, especially after proper introductions. I haven't been fully tested with cats, and I may have a higher prey drive, so a cat-free home would be best for me. I may also do fine with respectful kids, though I haven't had much experience with them yet.<br/><br/>My ideal home would be:<br/><br/>* A calm, laid-back family or person (1-3 people would be perfect)<br/>* A home with a fenced yard where I can safely relax and explore<br/>* Someone patient who will continue helping me build confidence and learn commands<br/>* A loving environment where I can just be part of the family<br/><br/>After everything I've been through, I don't ask for much-I just want love, safety, and a cozy place to rest my head.
