Hi my name is Arya! I have been taking my time to get settled into my new foster home. It has taken me a couple months to get adjusted and my foster still says I am a nervous girl that will continue to need a lot of patience and time. I am a pup with a lot of energy, but I am still too afraid for long walks in this big scary world. I enjoy my time alone in my safe spaces but I will take time out of my day to socialize with my foster siblings. We love to play in the yard! Thanks to my foster being very patient with me - I am house & crate trained and have been taught some basic obedience, I know "Stay, sit, come, stop, leave it". My ideal adopter would understand that I am hesitant in almost every new situation. I will require proper and slow introductions to new humans and dog friends, please forgive me if I run and hide. My ideal home would have a fenced yard so that I can get some safe play time until I get adjusted to a new neighbourhood. I would do best with another confident dog & independent dog. Loud dogs scare me at first. Foster Update: She needs a lot of patience and love. She needs to feel safe before she comes out and shows her affection. It took nearly a months for her to warm up with our foster dogs- but now she loves them now, and they bring out her playful side when theyre in the backyard together. We have given her many positive reinforcements when socializing with new dogs or going on walks but she simply nervous and most times uninterested and prefers to hide. She cannot be forced into new experiences- this will all take time. Now with all that being said, once she is in an environment where to feels safe and empowered, she is the sweetest most affectionate dog we have ever had, she gives kisses and hugs and loves to be around her humans.
