He is showing up as heartworm positive, but not to worry... we pay for his treatment with our vet and he will be good as new.
This stunning fellow is a young Flat-Coated Retriever mix who turns heads everywhere he goes. With his glossy coat and striking good looks, he's undeniably handsome—but it's his loving, people-focused personality that truly makes him special.
Artemis is an outgoing boy and lives for attention and connection. He is happiest when he's by your side and his medium energy makes him a great balance of fun and calm—he's always up for a walk or some playtime, but he's just as content relaxing and enjoying quality time with his favorite humans. While Artemis does well with other dogs, he's truly a “people dog” at heart. His biggest joy in life is being close to his humans, making him an incredible companion for someone looking for a deep, devoted bond.
If you're ready for a best friend who will adore you endlessly and brighten your every day, Artemis is waiting to meet you. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org

SPONSOR ME!
