Arnold German Shepherd Dog & Beagle Mix Denver, CO

Hi, Arnold here. I am a 3 year old shepherd mix. I came to the shelter because my owner could no longer take care of me. I came in really shy but have gained a lot of confidence since hanging out with my friends at the shelter.

I have been learning a lot since I've been at MaxFund and now I am making a lot of friends! I've been put into a play group and love my doggo friends. I like to play with toys and sometimes have zoomies. I am still working on my confidence around others and sometimes need a little more patience when meeting new friends. I am a very sweet boy but can sometimes be vocal. I would do better with kids older than 5 just because I can get too playful sometimes.

I will need a future owner that will continue to work on my confidence and reassure me about new environments and friends. I have the potential to be an amazing pupper with the right owner!!

How our adoption process works:
1. You MUST come into the shelter to meet a dog you are interested in (and meet a few others, while you’re at it!)
We do not require appointments – come anytime during normal business hours.
Our hours are 10-5 Mon, Wed, Thu Fri / 11-5 Saturday / 12-5 Sunday
We suggest you call ahead to be sure the dog(s) do not have pending applications
2. You will fill out your adoption application, including references, after finding a dog you’d like to adopt
3. The application review and reference checks will take up to 3-5 business days; you will not be able to bring a dog home same-day
We only take 2 applications per dog, before they are unavailable. This is why we suggest you call ahead to check the status of the pup!

We do not adopt out-of-state.
