Ariel came into the shelter when she was just 6 months old, still a puppy herself, and heartbreakingly she has now spent half of her life growing up in a kennel. At only a year old, the shelter is the closest thing she has ever known to a home.<br/><br/>While other dogs her age were learning what it feels like to curl up on a couch, play in a backyard, and fall asleep surrounded by family, Ariel has been waiting patiently behind kennel doors hoping her turn would finally come. Yet through it all, she remains incredibly sweet, hopeful, and full of love.<br/><br/>Ariel greets people with gentle eyes and a wagging tail, always hoping someone might stop for her. She has so much love to give and deserves the chance to finally experience life outside the shelter — walks through the neighborhood, cozy naps, toys of her own, and people who will never leave her behind again.<br/><br/>She is still so young with her whole life ahead of her, and we know once she has a family to love her, she is going to blossom into the most loyal companion. After waiting this long, Ariel deserves a forever home more than ever.<br/><br/>Ariel is up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and has received a health certificate. Now all she needs is a family willing to give her the second chance she has been patiently waiting for.
