ARIEL's Story

Meet Ariel, a beautiful husky mix with a gentle soul and striking good looks. While her stunning appearance may catch your eye, it's her sweet and tender heart that will truly win you over.

Shelter life has been overwhelming for Ariel. The noise, constant activity, and unfamiliar surroundings leave her feeling scared and unsure. Rather than joining in the excitement around her, Ariel seeks comfort from the people she trusts. In playgroups, she's often found quietly staying close to a handler, happily accepting gentle pets and reassurance.

Despite her fears, Ariel shows us every day that she wants to connect. She leans into affection, seeks out kind humans, and finds comfort in a calm, patient presence. She's the type of dog who won't demand attention but will quietly steal your heart as she begins to feel safe.

Ariel is looking for a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. She'll need a home willing to let her decompress at her own pace and discover that the world isn't such a scary place after all. As her confidence grows, we know there's an amazing companion waiting to emerge. If you have a quiet home, a gentle heart, and the patience to let a shy dog blossom, Ariel may be the one you've been waiting for. Sometimes the sweetest connections are the ones worth waiting for.

Ariel recently met some social dogs at our shelter and did fine. She wasn’t ready to play, but we hope that as she gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, she’ll be ready to show us her silly side with other dogs. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match! Check out her playgroup video here:

To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
