Ariana's Story

Meet Ariana!

Ariana has a gentle, slightly reserved nature and may need a little extra encouragement to open up. Once she’s feeling safe, though, she warms up nicely and begins to seek out interaction in her own way. Her confidence is growing more each day, and she’s starting to use her outside time to really sniff, explore, and relax into her surroundings. As she builds trust with new people, more of her silly, playful personality starts to shine. Fun fact—Ariana loves squeaky toys! She enjoys a good game of fetch and will happily bring them back, sometimes placing them right at your feet or even in your hand. And if you get distracted, she’ll gently nudge the toy your way to keep the fun going. She has a nice balance of independence and engagement and is just as content enjoying a lick mat or enrichment toy on her own.

Ariana is a well-mannered girl who walks with little to no pulling on leash and handles passing other dogs with relaxed, appropriate behavior. It appears she has some training under her belt and knows a few commands, but she’s still working on consistency. She is treat motivated and enjoys learning, making continued training both fun and rewarding for her and her future family. Long walks and training games will be a great way to build your bond. Ariana should be given a proper two-week decompression period before being introduced to any resident pets, with slow and gradual introductions to help set her up for success.

Intake Reason: Stray

This pet is up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Adoption hours are 12-5pm daily (arrive by 4:30) at 13800 Manor Road in Baldwin. Head to our ‘Adoption Resources’ tab for more information on our adoption process, fees and exceptions!
