Archie (was Snuffle)'s Story

Hi! I'm Archie and I am the BEST boy. I know I am because my foster mom tells me all day long. She says I am the sweetest, cuddliest, cutest dog who is so much fun to be around. I have been bounced from shelter to shelter and now into a foster home where I have settled in so nicely. I'm pretty sure I used to live in a home with people who loved me, because I know all about snuggling on the couch and sitting nicely and offering my paw when I want a bite of someone's food.

Before I forget to tell you, I'm a male 4 yr old Terrier mix that weights 56 lbs.! I love to chase balls (I'm not very good at bringing them back yet) and wrestle with my foster sister. I also really enjoy a nice walk, rolling in the grass, chasing squirrels, and sniffing around at the park. Don't be fooled though- what I really want to do is snuggle up next to you and take a nice long nap while you watch a movie.

I might not be well trained yet, but I have great manners! I already meet new human friends nicely without jumping up, I have been sweet with kids, I walk pretty well on a leash, and I am not destructive in the house. If I'm already this great, can you imagine how amazing I'm going to be after I learn some new skills during my 10 week training program?! I'm happiest when someone is home with me to remind me that I'm not going to be left again, and I'm working hard on learning that it's okay to nap in my crate for a bit alone. I really just want to be someone's very best friend!

Everyone who meets me says I'm such a good boy (not to mention extremely handsome) and whoever gets to adopt me is going to be so lucky. If you've ever considered adopting a shelter dog, but weren't sure about it, I am your guy! Once you meet me, see my adorable puppy dog eyes, and experience my sweet personality, you are sure to fall in love with me! SUBMIT YOUR APP TODAY! I enter training for 10 weeks on Aug 7th and will be ready to come home with my approved family on Oct 16th! My approved adopter will receive my weekly reports to follow along with my training!

I'm neutered, UTD on all my shots, HW, and FT. I have a microchip in case I get lost and will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground to keep me safe. RPSM recommends homes with children 6 years and older. If you are interested in adopting me please fill out an application today by going to www.rpsm.org. My adoption fee is $300.

Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan's Adoption Policy
RPSM Adoption Process Fill out the online Adoption Application at www.rpsm.org Once RPSM receives your application, we will contact your references, including your veterinarian(s). Please inform them that an RPSM volunteer will be calling them so that we are able to reach them in a timely fashion. An RPSM volunteer will contact you to schedule a 30-60 minute home visit to meet you and your family. (RPSM requires that all members of your household MUST be present for the entirety of the home visit.) The RPSM Board of Directors will then review your application, reference information, and home visit report in order to determine if you and your family are a good fit for the requested dog. An RPSM volunteer will contact you to notify you if you are approved or denied. If your adopted dog is still in the Prison Program, you have the option of receiving weekly reports regarding his/her progress via e-mail. Once your adopted dog is paroled or if your dog is not enrolled in the Prison Program, an RPSM volunteer will schedule a date to meet your dog. If the meeting proceeds smoothly, you will be able to take your new family member home that day, after the adoption paperwork is complete. Enjoy your new life and adventure together! Each adopter receives an adoption kit, which includes all medical paper work, helpful hints on how to help your new pet adjust to his/her new environment, coupons, and if applicable; training commands, signals and a letter from the trainer about your new best friend. **RPSM cannot be 100% certain of a particular breed of any dog on our site, it is the best guess at a predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
