ARCHIE Beagle Mix Ventnor City, NJ

Hello. My name is Archie and I am a handsome beagle-mix that needs to find a new home. I am 1 year old and weigh 49 lbs. I was recently surrendered to Penny Angels because I had too much energy for my previous owners. I am neutered and up-to-date with my vaccinations. I love to play and get along well with other dogs, so my new home should have at least 1 other playful dog and a fenced-in yard so that we can run and have fun. We would definitely have a good time together! I was the only dog in my previous home and they did not have a fenced-in yard. I still had excess energy even with multiple walks throughout the day. I am a strong boy and tend to pull when being walked. To gain better control over me, my new owner should consider using 1 leash on my harness and a 2nd leash on my collar. I am crate-trained and slept in a crate at night in a heated garage. I have been using a doggie door in Rescue but will need to learn new rules in your home.

I am a curious boy that still acts like a puppy. Since I have a high energy level, I would do best with older children (so that I don’t knock small kids down by mistake). I know how to ‘sit’ but would benefit from extra training. I am a happy, tail-wagging boy that enjoys belly rubs. I would be a good fit for the right person or family.
