Prairie Pooches Rescue is starting the search for Archie’s new home! He will be ready to go to his new home after he completes his dental Jan 13th. <br/><br/>Archie came into our care as an owner surrender and he turns 11yrs old this month. Don’t let his age deter you though as he still enjoys his walks and has a little playful spunk in him. We are going to make sure to make the best match possible for him as we want to ensure his next stop is his forever home! Archie shows to have a preference for women. He specifically adores the little girls in the home (boys we don’t know). So we are going to try and find him an all female home if possible. He does a low growl at men and just doesn’t like to be rushed with new meets. He follows his little humans everywhere waiting for some extra snuggles and pets. <br/><br/>Archie is good with other dogs and hasn’t shown to be possessive over any food or bones. We have started his kennel training and he’s now sleeping through the night in his crate. He does bark to alert when new ppl come to the door so we are correcting that behaviour as he was obviously never corrected on that in his prior home. We want him to have the best manners he can have! <br/><br/>Archie will make a great companion for someone wanting to have a small loyal dog around.
