Have you ever had a hard day and wish your best friend would greet you at the door like you just came home from the war? ARCHER is that boy! He is the very definition of man's best friend. Archer was found in the night running in the middle of a road in the redlands. Since he has been rescued, we cannot imagine how anybody didnt love and cherish this goofy boy. He is absolutely wonderful with other dogs, and we prefer to find a home with another dog since he is definitely a pack dog. He is fully potty trained. Approx. 1-2 yrs old and 65 pds. Archer was erlichia positive, but has been treated. He is definitely a velcro dog and wants to be where is person is, if he isnt playing tug of war with his pack friends. He will absolutely insist on sleeping in the bed with you and has zero sense of personal space lol. He thinks your space IS his space. But when he looks at you like you are his whole world, you cant stay mad at him for long. If you need devotion, love, endless entertainment, and a best play buddy for the dog you already have, Archer is your boy!!

2. Meet with the dog or cat. Bring treats/toys if you would like.
During COVID and for TRANSPORT- Virtual Home Visit using Facetime

3. If adoption is approved - Complete Adoption Contract

2023/2024 adoption donations-

Local (South Florida) cat adoption - $150
Local (South Florida) dog adoption - $300

Out of state cat adoption:
One cat- $250
Two cats- $350

Out of state dog adoption:
One dog - $400


All donations are tax deductible.

Adoption donation for dogs includes Spay/Neuter, Up to Date Vaccines, Microchip, Deworming, and Heartworm Check if needed.
Adoption donation for cats/kittens includes Spay/Neuter, Up to Date Vaccines, Deworming, FeLV/FIV testing and Microchip

5. Thank you! This is the Dog! does not have a shelter. Our dogs and cats are in foster homes primarily in Homestead, FL. We are a small group of volunteers making a difference in the lives of people and the dogs/cats that we help.
