Archer-1/27/26's Story
Hi, I’m Archer, a 5-month-old (as of 1/15/26), 25 lb male German Shepherd mix.
I’m currently in a foster home, where I’m doing really well! My golden retriever foster sister is teaching me important things like how to sit, potty outside, and even use the doggy door. I am *almost* fully potty trained!

I love toys, bones, and chasing balls, but what I love most is being with my people. I’m a loyal little shadow who will follow you from room to room and happily curl up next to you on the couch when it’s time to relax. Whatever you’re doing, I want to do it with you.

Loud noises don’t scare me — I even handled New Year’s Eve fireworks like a champ! I also don’t mind car rides. I’ve met children and other dogs and have done great with everyone. I just want friends to love and play with!

Please consider making me part of your family — I promise to love you forever. He arrived with his siblings, Alisha and Eddie!

This pet is spayed or neutered in accordance with our strict policy wherein all animals are altered prior to adoption. This pet is de-wormed, current on vaccines, and started on monthly flea/tick preventatives.

Animal Alliance does not adopt adult dogs (over 9 months old) into households with children under 9 years of age due to the risk of bites. Puppies 9 months of age or younger can be adopted into households with young children ages 4 and older. We do not adopt to families with children 3 years and younger or expectant families due to the safety risk for infants and toddlers.

Prior to submitting an application, please see the Animal Alliance Adoption Process for adoption details.

Animal Alliance is not a shelter where all the animals are housed in one location. Animal Alliance is a foster care network and animals are housed in many different locations. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please apply using the online application; applicants who call our phone line will hear a recorded voicemail with this identical message. We adopt many animals each week and meet prospective adopters at various locations so they can meet the animals they are interested in.

To fill out an adoption application, go to:
https://www.animalalliancenj.org/fosteradoption-application/
