Apples's Story
Hi, everybody! I’m APPLES!

I’m a 1-year-old, 26-pound French Bulldog with a face you can’t resist, a personality bigger than my body, and a snore that could probably register on the Richter scale!

I’m sweet, silly, outgoing, affectionate, and just plain HAPPY girl! I love playing with other dogs, hanging out with the kiddos, chasing butterflies, grasshoppers, and splashing around in my kiddy pool.

And when I’m not busy being the neighborhood wildlife patrol, you can usually find me loving on my humans or snoring like a grown man who’s worked a 12-hour shift.

Now, before you fall completely in love with me, we need to discuss a couple of my little quirks.

Potty training: I’m house trained! Well... mostly. I occasionally mistake a rug for a patch of grass. A little patience and consistency should help me perfect my skills.

Separation anxiety: I love my people SO much that sometimes I take their departure a little personally. And by personally, I mean I might rearrange a few shoes and/or shred papers. I can be a brat sometimes.

But here’s the part of my story that isn’t quite so funny.

I came into rescue after Animal Control required my previous owner to surrender me because I had a severe rectal prolapse. My little bum-bum was in terrible shape, and I desperately needed medical attention.

Coffee Cause For Paws stepped in, and my journey to getting better began.

My veterinary team first attempted two less-invasive surgical procedures to correct the problem. Unfortunately, neither provided the lasting correction we needed, so I ultimately underwent a more involved surgery called a colopexy, which secures the colon in place to help prevent another prolapse.

We’re hopeful this will finally do the trick!

And you know what’s remarkable?

Not one bit of that ordeal stole my joy.

Not the discomfort. Not the surgeries. Not everything I’ve been through.

I’ve remained the same goofy, loving, happy-go-lucky little Frenchie who thinks every day is an adventure and every human is a potential best friend.

And medically, I’ve got some pretty great things going for me!

Up-to-date on all my vetting
Spayed
Heartworm negative
Microchipped

I’ve already been through more than a 1-year-old puppy should have to endure. Now I’m ready for the part of my story where the only thing I have to worry about is which butterfly to chase, which toy to play with, and whose lap I’m going to occupy next.

My name is APPLES, and I promise life with me will never be boring!

*ADOPTION FEE $300

Interested in adopting Apples?
Visit www.coffeecauseforpaws.com and complete a Dog Adoption Application under the Forms section.

Questions?
