Apple's Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com

Apple is an 8-pound male Chihuahua with a gentle soul and the sweetest little snuggle bug personality. This tiny guy is still learning about the world, and while he can be a bit shy and timid at first, he’s already starting to warm up beautifully to his foster family. Apple does well with other dogs and kids, though because of his small size and sensitive nature, he would thrive best in a quiet home with older, calm children—or even an adult-only home. Loud noises and busy environments can be scary for him, so a peaceful setting is exactly what this little guy needs to truly blossom.
He’s currently working on potty training and is doing great with his crate—keeping it clean and sleeping soundly through the night, even if it’s not his favorite place to be. Apple walks nicely on a leash and enjoys going for car rides, especially if it means being close to his person. One of the most endearing things about Apple is that he’s still figuring out how to “dog.” He doesn’t quite understand playtime yet, but he does get excited when other dogs try to engage him—so with a little time and confidence, we think his playful side will shine through.

Apple is incredibly sweet, loves to cuddle, and will happily tuck himself into your neck like the perfect little “sweater dog.” Speaking of sweaters—he loves being cozy and warm, making him the ultimate companion for snuggling up on the couch. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving companion who will bond deeply and shower you with affection, Apple might just be your perfect match.

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue locationb as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.

Age: less then a year

Adoption fee: $500
