Apollo's Story

PLEASE COMPLETE OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION AT WWW.LOVEBUGSRESCUE.ORG IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ADOPTION:

Apollo is a handsome 6-year-old, 24 lb Poodle/Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever mix with the fluffiest tail and a gentle, sensitive soul. He’s looking for a calm, predictable home where life moves at a slower pace and he can feel safe, secure, and loved.

Apollo enjoys long walks during quieter times of the day when the neighborhood is peaceful and there’s less activity around him. He’s the kind of dog who appreciates consistency, gentle handling, and an environment without too many moving parts. New situations can make him anxious or stressed, so he truly thrives with patient people who understand that trust takes time.

While Apollo needs a slow introduction to new dogs, he does very well with the dogs in his foster home once he feels comfortable. Because he has prey drive, he will need a cat-free home.

Apollo would do best in a quieter household with a calm routine and people who can offer him reassurance, structure, and understanding. In return, you’ll gain a loyal companion who bonds deeply and blossoms beautifully when given the chance to settle in at his own pace.

We have Apollo's official DNA:

17% Miniature Poodle
15% N.S.
