He appears to have a Pitbull head, a Basset Hound body, and Shar Pei wrinkles on his lower half. Apollo is 5 years old and weighs 42 pounds. He absolutely loves 1-on-1 time snuggling on the ground or napping across his foster's lap. His squeals of joy will warm your heart! He'll follow you everywhere outside, he just wants to be near you. Apollo is a lower energy dog, but can keep up with the neighbor's dogs on 1 mile farm walks. He is shy around new people, and will stick by his foster's side when he meets them. He hasn't been around children much. He's friendly with cats. He likes most dogs and enjoys playing chase with his foster sister "Betsy". But favorite pack mate, hands down, would be a person who will snuggle with him every day! Apollo came to SVFA missing a lot of his hair due to chronic skin issues. With good care, his hair is slowly growing back. Any potential adopter will need to commit to Apollo's skin care and vet care needs, which includes regular baths and massaging in moisturizer (which he loves). He may also need to take a prescription pill for itching. Apollo's a great eater and eats regular dry kibble.
