I was on my own for a while, and food wasn’t always easy to find, so now I think it’s the greatest thing on earth. I sometimes need reminders to slow down at mealtime. I’m full of energy!!<br/> • I’m in full teething mode and need lots of tough chew toys. (Nyla bones are my favorite so far.)<br/> • I know “sit,” and I’m working on “down” and “leave it” — unless “it” is a treat or my food bowl.<br/> • I’m crate-trained, but I’ll require a treat or two to go in.<br/>• Ideal Roommate<br/>You should be patient, strong-willed, and maybe a little bit crazy (in the best way). I haven’t been around small kids yet, but due to my size, clumsiness, and chew-first-ask-later style, tiny humans may want to steer clear until I’m older.<br/>I haven’t met any cats yet, but I hear they can be interesting. Experience with large-breed puppies is a big plus — though I’ll probably test your patience sometimes.<br/>• Dealbreakers<br/>If you’re looking for a calm, floor-sleeping, low-maintenance speed bump of a dog… I’m not your guy.<br/>I am a BIG puppy who needs a lot of attention, structure, and training.<br/>I will push boundaries.<br/>I will chew things (including the things you told me not to).<br/>I will have accidents.<br/>And I’ll need someone willing to commit for the next 12–15 years — through all the chaos and all the cuddles.<br/>⸻<br/>The Bottom Line<br/>I’m a big puppy, a bit of a handful — but if you put in the time, training, and love, I will be your best friend for life.
