Annika's Story
9/26/26 Annika- in New England.
She is a sweet little girl looking for her forever home. She loves to be near people, and she is not timid. She is just the right amount of courageous and relaxed. So far she is NOT super high energy at all.
Annika was super good in the car. She has learned where her food bowl is, how to go up and down stairs, and how to follow the big dogs around.
She has not had any potty accidents indoors, and she can sleep almost through the night. She is doing well with crate training.
She has a very cute bounce during zoomies or ball (email us to see a video of her)
She is about 13 weeks old. We do not know her breed. Mom is mixed. Maybe some Catahoula? We do not know who/what dad was so it's hard to say but Annika is likely a mix of many breeds. We do not believe Annika will be a large dog. She will likely be a nice medium size, maybe 40-50 pounds when full grown.
Annika is fostered with other dogs, cats, and a toddler who visits often.
She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on heartworm & flea/tick prevention.
In New England.
To apply to adopt, click here:
https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059

Her story: Annika and her siblings had a hard start in life. They were dumped along with their mama in a very remote area in rural Arkansas, next to the river, under a bridge. Their sweet mama did all she could to protect her babies from the wild hogs that frequent the area, and other dangers. She tried her best to produce enough milk to feed them and keep them healthy. We are so proud of her and her efforts to raise her young. Sadly, dogs are not equipped to live in the wild any more. We took that from them long ago. Mama did the best she could, but it cost her dearly. She was starved almost to death. The puppies were slightly underweight but overall in decent condition, which tells us all we need to know about a mother's love for her babies. She gave her all to them. Thankfully, she was rescued along with her babies. Mom is a good hunter, which is probably the only thing that allowed her and these babies to survive before they were rescued. These puppies are so sweet and happy! Just having a regular diet and a little affection made all the difference for them. They are now in a foster home where all of their needs are being met and they are thriving!

For questions or more info, message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com.
