Annie the lovebug American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Katy, TX

Well hello there! My name is Annie, as in Lil' Orphan Annie, and I'm a sweet-as-pie, playful, happy-happy, eager-to-please, gentle 50-pound golden and white American Staffordshire Terrier mix gal who was born in September 2014. I have the cutest big white triangle on the back of my neck and head! I look like I'm always smiling and saying 'Please let me make you happy.'
I love people -- adults as well as kids, and I have a blast hanging out with my humans. But if you're looking for a guard dog, you're out of luck with me because I don't bark! Can you believe that?
I am a giant lap dog because I love to crawl up in my human's lap. Nothing makes me happier than a good belly-rub, but I love any kind of human touches of approval or petting. I'm highly intelligent and learn quickly. I'm attentive and responsive to your commands to heel, sit, (stay in) place, and come as well as I have perfect 'door' manners. I love to play with and fetch my toys if a human is interacting with me. To put it short, I'm a great all-round dog!
That said, I wish that I could say that I liked dogs and cats as much as I do people, but I don't. So I will need to be an only pet, but you can bring on the kids because I'm sweet and gentle with them.
My family was not the greatest. Not only did they crop my ears with scissors, but also they left me to fend for myself when Hurricane Harvey was imminent. No worries, I'm looking for a wonderful family to adopt me this time around. I hope you'll look past my mutilated ears and see what a magnificent and engaging dog I am.
