Annie - Special Needs's Story

Hi, I'm Annie and I'm a 6-year-old, 40/45 lb sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger heart. After being found as an extremely emaciated stray, I've learned that life is much better when it includes snacks, comfy beds, and people to love.

I am a food-motivated girl is easy to train and gets along great with kids, dogs, and cats. Because of my past, I prefer to enjoy my meals privately in my crate - my own little VIP dining room!

I am loyal, protective, and happiest with a confident owner who can provide structure and guidance. I tends to prefer women but I'm willing to give men a chance if they come bearing treats.

When I'm not keeping an eye on my family, my favorite hobby is professional-level snuggling. Due to severe hip dysplasia and old ACL injuries in both knees, I'd thrive in a calmer home where I can enjoy light walks, gentle exercise, and lots of couch time. I do take as needed pain meds in her harder days to maintain comfort.

ADOPTION FEE: $250 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained)

ADOPTER: Dog experience
BIRTHDAY: 11/8/2020
FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment)
DOG FRIENDLY: Yes
DOGS IN HOME: Yes, a male dog is required in the home for socialization
CATS: Yes
CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over

I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $250 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me!

***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. IF YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION OR ARE NOT YET READY TO PROCEED PLEASE APPLY WHEN YOU ARE.***

INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25.

DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER INQUIRY/CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response.

PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!
