Annie is lovable, smart, and very loyal to her human family, including any children. As a newborn puppy, she was doused with acid, which left her with permanent scarring all over her body. However, that never stopped her from enjoying human touch and affection. Annie absolutely loves rolling on her back for belly rubs. She is obedient and knows some advanced commands. She would be a great fit for an active family – she loves to run, hike, backpack, swim, or just doing cheetah-like zoomies in the backyard. She is also great on the leash – no pulling, lunging at others, or barking. Currently, Annie lives with 3 other dogs of similar size but prefers the company of the boys, as they will let her be the boss lady. Other female dogs represent a threat to her alpha status which can lead to scuffles. She also has a strong prey drive, so small dogs, cats or any other small critters would not be a good fit. She is 100% house trained and can be left unattended in the house for several hours. Annie enjoys hanging out in her crate as her safe place during the day and sleeps there at night. Annie is a dream dog and will repay you with all the love and loyalty you can imagine. Her current foster family is willing to reasonably travel to ensure that Annie finds her right match.
