Annie's Story
Meet Annie

Annie is a sweet 2-year-old Poodle mix weighing about 9 pounds, and this little girl has quite a story to tell. After her owner passed away, Annie was frightened and on the run for three weeks before she was finally caught and brought to safety. She had been through a lot, so it has taken some time for her to feel comfortable around new people.

Once Annie knows you, though, you’ll see her sweet side come out. She loves to cuddle, be close to her person, and give kisses. She’s also playful and loves bouncing around with the other dogs in her foster home. Kong toys are a favorite, and she especially enjoys playing with her furry friends.

Annie is a gentle and passive girl who gets along very well with other dogs. She is crate trained, walks on a leash, and is nearly completely potty trained. She responds well to verbal correction and knows “stay.”

Because of her history and how quickly she can bolt through an open door, Annie needs a very secure, completely fenced yard. Her new family will need to be diligent about doors and gates, as she is quick and can squeeze through even small openings. A secure standard or privacy fence is a must.

Annie is still working on becoming comfortable with new people and may hide when she is scared. Loud noises and fireworks frighten her as well. She would do best with a patient family willing to give her the time and reassurance she needs to continue building confidence.

Annie would love a home with another friendly dog to play with. Her compatibility with cats and young children is unknown, so introductions would need to be handled thoughtfully.

If you’re looking for a little cuddle bug who loves kisses, playing with other dogs, and being close to her people, Annie may just be your girl.

She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and is on monthly flee/tick and heartworm prevention.

Her adoption fee is $350.

Please follow the link below for her adoption application.
