Annie's Story
Rescue story:
Meet Annie! This sweet little girl was rescued from a slaughterhouse for rejected puppy mill dogs. Annie is currently being fostered in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada.

Bio:
Age: Approx. 3 years old
Sex: Female
Weight: 9lbs
Breed: Yorkie/Poodle mix
Housetrained: Almost
Goods with kids: Yes
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Yes
Crate trained: Yes
Separation anxiety: No
Energy level: Medium
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes- DHPPL, rabies, kennel cough, coronavirus, and influenza
Medical Issues: None. She had a dental cleaning August 17th and an umbilical hernia repair on Sept 3rd.
Food: Fish based kibble with a spoonful of wet food mixed in

Annie is a bundle of pure love. She has the sweetest disposition and loves to play with other dogs & toys. Despite being around 3 years old, she is still very puppy like. She loves to run in the yard and is very curious of her surroundings.

While leash walking is fairly new to Annie, she does great and is non-reactive to other dogs or people. Annie enjoys car rides and experiencing the sights of Canada.

Annie sleeps in her crate at night in her foster’s bedroom for 8+ hours and is as quiet as a mouse. Annie rarely barks. If she does it is during play with another dog.

Annie & her doggy pal Michelle arrived from Korea in September. Annie was rescued from a slaughterhouse full of dogs that were puppy mills rejects. Sadly she has lived the first part of her life in a cage. Because of this she is still perfecting housetraining. She will use a pee pad indoors and is using the bathroom outside most of the time, but she still has occasional accidents. Her new family will have to be understanding that she is still learning what it's like to live outside of a cage.

She seems to have completely left her rough start go and is the happiest of dogs! Her perfect family would be someone that is home most of the time and can shower her with love and continue with her training. She very much deserves a home with a loving family of her own.

While Annie, does not have any medical issues, she is slightly (barely noticeable) bow legged. X-rays have been done to confirm this is not a medical condition or anything that requires further care. The vet believes her legs may be bowed due to being confined to a cage for most of her life. It is possible they will right themselves, but the bowed legs does not cause any pain or prevent Annie from living a full life.

Type of home we are looking for:
Annie would do well in a home with or without another dog. She loves playing so if you have a dog, it should also be playful as she frequently tries to get the other dogs in the home to play with her. If she is an only dog, it will be important to keep Annie mentally and physically stimulated. We would prefer that she go into a home with a family that is home most of the time and can include her in adventures.

Adoption fee:
$800

To apply, please fill out an application on our website:
www.pawpackdogrescue.com
