Annatto

Meet Annatto, a loving Shih Tzu mix who is 12+ years old and weighs 8 pounds! Annatto came to us after being found neglected and entering a local shelter scared, matted, in dire need of a dental, with severely irritated skin, and in need of some much-needed TLC. With regular medicated baths (thanks to his wonderful foster family) his skin has improved and he is feeling much better!

Anatto is looking for a quiet, comfortable place to spend his golden years. He is a pretty independent little guy. He loves having his own cozy space where he can nap and relax, but he also enjoys climbing into his person’s lap when he’s in the mood for some extra love. He gets so excited when his foster mom comes home, and his adorable little “puppy” face makes it pretty impossible not to smile and fall in love.

His vision is slightly limited, and we believe he may be blind in one eye, which also seems to contribute to his little head tilt. Despite that, he adjusted very quickly to his foster home and gets around just fine. He can be a little hesitant about going outside after dark, so his ideal home will have a safe, well-lit area for nighttime potty trips.

Annatto is truly just a sweet old soul who deserves to spend the rest of his life feeling safe, comfortable, and loved.

********************
His adoption fee is $400. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and just had a dental!

Please read this bio in its entirety and then fill out our application, DO NOT FILL OUT AN INQUIRY.

The application may be found by clicking on Adoption Policy at the bottom of this page, then the button called ADOPTION APPLICATION.
