I'm Annabelle, but my friends call me Annie, and just like the famous redheaded orphan, I'm full of optimism, heart, and enough energy to brighten every day. At 7 months old and 38 pounds, I'm a Golden Retriever/Beagle mix with a velvety-soft coat that's practically impossible to stop petting. I'm one smart cookie too! I'm nearly housebroken, crate trained, and walk beautifully on a leash. I already know how to sit, and when you tell me it's kennel time, I happily trot right in. I learn new things quickly and would love a family that enjoys teaching me even more. With a little continued training and lots of love, I'll grow into an amazing lifelong companion. When I'm not showing off my good manners, I'm busy having fun! I love chasing water sprayed from a hose, proudly carrying my favorite stuffed toy around the house, and settling in with a hoof to chew. Storms don't bother me one bit, so you won't find me hiding when the thunder rolls in. I adore other dogs, I'm affectionate, playful, and always ready for the next adventure. Because I'm still a puppy, I have plenty of happy energy to burn, so I'd be happiest with an active couple or a family with children who will include me in all the fun. A fenced yard would be my dream stage for zoomies, but thanks to my great leash skills, I'd also do well with a family committed to giving me regular walks and adventures.<br/>Just like Annie believed every tomorrow held something wonderful, I believe my best days are waiting with a family of my own.
