AnnaClair's Story

Meet Annaclair! The sweetest and wiggliest girl. Annaclair came from a hoarding situation and was understandably extremely fearful when she entered the shelter but needless to say this girl has blossomed! She is so happy and up beat. She loves to play, roll around in the grass, eat snacks, and get pets. Annaclair is about 5 years old and ready to see the world.

Barking Wishes Senior Pet Rescue and Sanctuary's Adoption Policy
Applications are reviewed by a director and foster, vet checks are done, home check or virtual home check done, if home is a rental we contact landlords, in depth telephone interview is conducted and a meet and greet with pet is set up. If the adopter advances through all stages of the application process, a director will approve the application and the animal will be transferred to the new adoptive family. The adopter is given a 72 hour window to allow them to return the pet for any reason whatsoever in exchange for a full refund or more suitable pet. Our contract states that after that 72 hour window, we will always take our dogs back into the rescue for any reason and they aren’t to be taken to a shelter or re-homed
