Sweet senior girls Anastasia and Annabelle are hoping to find a forever home together! <br/><br/>These adorable old ladies were given up due to landlord issues and passed around to temporary homes that were unable to keep them. Anastasia is a chunky 15lbs Yorkie/Shih tzu mix with the cutest crooked underbite and sweet personality. She loves attention, has to sleep right next to you in bed, loves other little dogs and sits up like a little groundhog begging for attention. She’s a “young healthy” senior overall, probably about 10-12 years old, just had a dental and is on inexpensive medication longterm for her low thyroid. <br/><br/>Annabelle is a teeny old lady, a less than 7lbs Yorkie and also very sweet and cuddly. She’s more of a hospice case at this stage of her life- blind, too many mammary tumors as a result of never being spayed to remove all, and spends most of her time curled up sleeping in the fuzziest beds she can find. We don’t know how long she will continue to do well for, but right now she is stable, comfortable, and eating and we would love her to stay with her familiar little buddy for whatever time she has left. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
