Amyrlin's Story
Still terrified. Still healing.
She quietly hides in her kennel and runs away outside. Amyrlin went through some trauma before the shelter. We don’t know what but she had injuries to her side and face. She is shell shocked and searching for a way out. Amyrlin will accept love and pets once she tires out (or we catch her). We see that really sweet girl hiding under her nerves. Amyrlin needs safety and decompression in a home, not a kennel.

Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.

All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers).

We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.

If you have any questions, please email caccpetfinder@gmail.com

A312765
