In just a short time with her foster family, Amelia has made incredible strides—thanks in large part to her confident canine roommate! The resident dog has been the perfect teacher, showing Amelia the ropes of going in and out of the house without fear and reinforcing her excellent outdoor potty habits.<br/><br/>She now:<br/>- Sleeps soundly through the night in her cozy dog bed on the floor beside the foster’s<br/>- Walks beautifully on leash<br/>- Fully potty-trained—no accidents in over a week! (Just keep up a 3-hour potty schedule to maintain success)<br/>- Rides like a champ in the car—calm, happy, and ready for any adventure<br/><br/>She’s still a touch shy at first, but her longing for closeness shines through. Amelia adores cuddling on the couch with her people and thrives on gentle affection. She is so pretty and a perfect sized companion: Not too tiny to trip over, yet light enough to scoop up for snuggles. Bichons are cheerful, loving hypoallergenic fluffballs with non-shedding double coats (professional grooming every 8 weeks keeps her looking fabulous). With a life expectancy of 12–15 years, Amelia has so much love left to give.<br/><br/> A doggy sibling helped her blossom in her foster home but isn't necessary in her forever home as she would be perfectly fine as an only dog. She is now leash trained so a fenced yard is always nice but not necessary for Amelia.
