Amelia's Story

Introducing Amelia
Rounding out our trio of timid Shih Tzus is the adorable Amelia!
Like her contemporaries, Amelia is a very cautious gal. She may shy away from human touch at first but is slowly learning that she just cant stay away from those head massages. With time to build trust and gentle coaxing, she has begun to seek out the attention of her foster mom and enjoy their time spent together.
Affectionate in her own way, this lovely lady likes to show her love with waggles and wiggles as she happily runs circles around her favourite person. The biggest joys in Amelias day are the three big Bs: Blankets, breakfast, and butt scratches. Though possibly around 6 years old, these things are enough to bring out her inner happy puppy energy.
Potty training is still a work in progress for Amelia. With plenty to learn and unlearn, she will need extra time to figure out what is expected of her. She may need a patient, gentle hand to make her feel safe but her love is well worth the wait.
For more information about our adoption process or to fill out an adoption application for Amelia, visit our website below:
https://www.windycitycaninerescue.com/adoptions
