She was found with, what we believe is, her puppy and placed into a rural shelter. Putting on a strong, brave face, she came into rescue unsure of what was happening but gathered up enough confidence to glide smoothly through the training at Luther Luckett and the Paws Behind Bars Program. She performs her commands such as sit, down, and stay, with ease and is potty trained and walks lovely on a leash. She is ready for adoption and is looking for that family that will spend fun outdoor time with walks or hiking excursions. She is good with other dogs and we would recommend children over 7 years of age as we're not sure if she was raised with young kids. Amber is fully vetted and ready to walk into your home and hearts! All prospective animals ready for adoption begin with an application filled out by a prospective adopter. Taking into account the animal's specific needs, applications are taken in the order they are received to match appropriate families with the needs of that specific animal. Once an approval is made and the potential adopter contacted, a meet and greet with the entire family and, if possible, includes the adopters current animals as well. If the meet and greet goes well the animal may go home with that potential adopter.
