WEIGHT: estimated to be 60-75 lbs full grown

MY STORY:

In early December Allison now known as Allie Cat, was being given away by her owner with her litter mates for free at a local Walmart. A foster Mom from Anna’s Angels Rescue happened to be there and when the rescue said yes, they were quickly grabbed and taken into safety.
The litter consisted of Allie, her sister and her brother. He sister and brother were sent to a partner rescue in Florida while Allie was held back in Alabama because she felt puny that day. Within days Allie was extremely ill and developed a horrible cough. She was put on antibiotics and dewormed and we hoped for the best. After a full course of the medicine Allie was not improving and had to go back to the vet. It was then that she was diagnosed with Pneumonia, coccidia and Giardia. Allie was deathly ill and struggling to survive. We then learned her sister had died from the same illness. We were frantic now with worry for Allie. Allie spent 1 month going everyday to the vet for a breathing treatment, hot steam shower treatments, and multiple medications were given to try to irradicate the cough. Breathing treatments continued at home until mid February along with treatment for parasites that would not clear up. Through all of this Allie was a sweet, loving puppy who couldn’t understand why she couldn’t play with the other pups in the house. She continued to grow despite the illness and that gave us hope.
Today Allie Cat is all better, growing quickly, and at 6 months is now 30 pounds. She loves outside, learning new tricks, playing catch, playing in water and hanging with the big dogs at her foster mom’s house.
Allie Cat would love a home with other dogs, an active family who will continue to teach her tricks, throw the ball and let her lay on their lap.
We are grateful for all the support throughout her illness and beyond.
