Alistair's Story

What a goofy, happy puppy Alistair was for his photo shoot! He is estimated to be about 10 months old and weighs 47 pounds.

Meet Alistair, a bundle of wiggly, playful fun! This outgoing and active boy is a true social butterfly, always eager to say hello and make new friends. Alistair is very engaged with you and ready to learn. He loves to play fetch and is more than happy to bring the ball back to you, showing off his good manners. Alistair is a herding dog at heart, so he thrives with a leader who can provide him with structure, mental stimulation, and plenty of opportunities to exercise that brilliant mind. He does have some food bowl guarding though, and his adopter will need to continue with his training on this and continue to solidify trading between toys and rewarding for "drop". If you understand the needs of a herding pup, Alister would love it if you came to meet him, he can't wait to grow up with a family to love! He will need an adult only home.

If you are interested in Alistair and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
