Ali's Story
Breed: Schnauzer / Terrier mix
Age: 3 yrs.
Weight: 15 lbs.
Good with dogs: yes
Good with cats: unsure
Good with kids: unsure
Energy level: unsure
Good with men/strangers: yes
Hypoallergenic: no

Special home requirements or medical: best as an only dog

Additional info:

Ali💜 was surrendered to the shelter along with her sister for reasons unknown.
She is 15 pounds of pure sweetness! She is a lover who likes to give lots of kisses. She wants to be with you at all times and will lay at your feet in any room of the house. Joining you on the sofa and snuggling up for a nap is also an option. Ali is a fantastic copilot and enjoys a nice car ride. She is potty trained and sleeps through the night in her crate. She is a zigzag walker on leash but takes correction well. She comes when called and seems to know the basics.

Ali is “praise” motivated. Lots of pets and “good girl” go a long way. She has toys but seems to only play with her ball. Fetch in the back yard is exciting! She’s not a chewer and will bark to alert you when someone is at the door. She likes people but will take her time to get to know you. All dogs are welcome!

Ali is working on a few things…she can be startled easily by loud noises or fast movements but settles quickly when she realizes she’s safe. It seems she may have a bit of separation anxiety - barking for a few minutes when her human leaves, settling down to a quiet whine and eventually calming completely, then staring out the window until her human returns (if crated she will bark on and off and then settle.) Ali is very smart and easy going. Routine and a little training will make her the perfect pup!

If you are not ready to adopt just yet and would like to help in other ways, please consider clicking on the green “Sponsor Me” button above to help this dog receive the best care we can give.
