Alfredo Black Labrador Retriever Mix Scranton, PA

Sweet, sweet Alfredo!! Better days are ahead, sweet boy! Alfredo was rescued after being picked up by Animal Control and being brought into a high kill shelter as a stray. He is listed as a Black Lab mix. Alfredo is approximately a year and a half old and he weighs about 38 lbs. Alfredo was very scared when he first arrived at the shelter.. He was afraid to even walk on a leash. On top of that, he was also very sick with pneumonia. He did recover quite nicely under the care of the shelter vet. He will be moved to a foster home while he awaits transport and we are hoping that he will get braver once he is out of the shelter. This awesome boy is already neutered and micro-chipped. He tested negative for heart-worm disease and was vaccinated against Rabies, distemper and Bordatella. Alfredo is good with people and great with other dogs. He would probably do best in a home where there is at least one other confident dog who can show him the ropes and help him feel brave. We are not certain as to how he might be with cats right now but our guess is that he wouldn't bother a cat. Alfredo was adopted by his foster mom and dad this evening.. His new name is "Buddy" and he will be spending the "happily-ever-after" part of his life in Dunmore, PA. Buddy will be very much loved....right along with his big doggie sister and his OLTL adopted doggie brother "Rocky" (formerly known as "Mickey Puppy")..
