Alejandro's Story

Alejandro is the definition of happy go lucky. This goofy boy greets life with a wiggly body, a big smile, and the belief that everyone he meets is his new best friend. He loves to run, chase balls, show off his "spin!" trick, and soak up all the attention he can get. After all the fun, he's happiest glued to his favorite humans for snuggles and affection.

Alejandro has previously lived with children, and was described as loving and affectionate with them. He can get a little jumpy when excited, but he is incredibly attentive and responsive to positive reinforcement training. He has also had positive experiences playing with other dogs, though he can sometimes be skittish around new animals at first. Alejandro has previously lived with a cat, but may be too playful for most cats, especially those not familiar with rambunctious dogs.

Alejandro enjoys having a cozy safe space, and happily sleeps in his crate at night. He has mostly kept his kennel clean while with us, which is a great sign he's potty trained, though he may need some continued guidance as he adjusts to a new home and your routine.

If you're looking for a fun loving best friend with endless enthusiasm and an even bigger heart, Alejandro could be your perfect match!

A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Alejandro's $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about him, and to determine if you should meet Alejandro.
